Looking forward to spring...

All of the snow has finally melted and we can tell Spring is right around the corner! Ever day this week, Soph and I have walked to the train to pick Luke up, stopping at the park to play before heading home. The temperature is a only 40 degrees, but for some reason, that seems warm enough to get out:) Luke likes to point out that is is only 8 degrees above freezing, but I remind him that it is Chicago and when it hits 60, people will be laying out in their swimsuits at the beach! We crave warm weather and sunny days after long, dreary winters.

Last week was a very busy week for Soph. We had 2 play dates at Little Beans Cafe, music class and we went to the aquarium with our friends. Little Beans is a cute little coffee shop that has a huge play area with a little house, grocery store, fire house, gas station and LOTS of toys and cars for the kids to ride on. It is a perfect place to sit at a table and socialize with other adults and let the kids run around and play in a contained environment. We also went to the Cubby Bear on Saturday for a family fest called "Wake Up and Boogie Down", which was a blast! Sophia had fun dancing with her daddy and hanging out with her friends. I tell you what, her social calendar keeps me busy:)

Here, Soph is reading a book at the Little beans:)

Soph is starting to say more words and make animal sounds. Her favorite is making a Buzz for the bee and making an elephant sound while throwing her arm up in the air like his trunk. It is pretty cute:) She also likes to point to her body parts. I am trying to add a video of her doing this, but it is not allowing me to. I will keep trying:)
